Growing up from the time I was four until I was 19 (1957 - 1972), my father took to every Hackettstown vs Roxbury Thanksgiving Day game. They had a tradition much like Pburg vs. Easton.
While the tradition ended for most Jersey schools with the playoff process, it is the one tradition I truly miss. Hats off to Pburg and Easton for not following the easy path and losing the wonderful fall tradition: every bit as important as the Turkey and Pumpkin Pie that follows later in the day.

There is something special about P'Burg! A sense of Pride that stays with us as we experience life. Thank you Dave for reminded all of us.
