Great programs
produce great players. With a state-leading 600 wins,
Phillipsburg's program has been one of the best in New Jersey
history over the past century. During that span, the
Stateliners have had 58 1st team All-State selections, as well
as dozens of others who received some sort of All-State
recognition. Numerous former Stateliners have gained
All-American honors and played on national championship teams at the
collegiate level. Some have had professional careers, and
several were named All-Pro. And one former garnet and grey
great, Jim Ringo, was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of
Fame.
The following
players represent the finest the school has ever produced.
Apologies to any players who may have been inadvertently
overlooked. Year listed is last year
played.
